Session 22: Showcase Demo Day & Graduation

Today is the culmination of your entire BIH Tech Club journey! Today, you are not just students sitting at desks; you are innovators, presenters, and solution builders taking the stage to showcase your digital creation to your teachers, mentors, classmates, and community guests.

1. The 3-Minute Showcase Pitch Formula

In tech innovation hubs around the world, entrepreneurs pitch multi-million cedi ideas in just three minutes. You have exactly 180 seconds on stage. Divide your pitch into three tight acts:

ACT 1: HOOK & PROBLEM State the community issue Who is affected? ⏱️ 0 to 30 Seconds ACT 2: LIVE DEMO ⭐ Show your digital tool live! Run game / Click formulas Flip clean slides ⏱️ 30s to 2:00 Min ACT 3: FIX & ACTION What bug did you fix? How can this help Ghana? ⏱️ 2:00 to 3:00 Min

2. Showcase Vocabulary

Stage Choreography & Readiness
Session 22 • Page 2

1. Team Stage Choreography: Everyone Has a Voice!

In a strong team, one person does not hog the microphone while the others stand like statues. Divide speaking duties so every single member shines on stage:

LIVE PROJECT ON STAGE (Clean Water / Game / Canteen Sheet) Speaker 1: Ama (Introduces Problem) Speaker 2: Kofi (Drives the Laptop) Speaker 3: Kwesi (Explains Bug & Fix)
Figure 22.1: Stage Choreography. One teammate speaks, one drives the laptop, and one explains the learning journey.

2. Pre-Flight Technical Checklist (Before Walking on Stage)

💻 Laptop & File Setup
File opened from Final_Showcase folder.
Unnecessary browser tabs and apps closed.
Sound volume set to 75% for Scratch sounds.
🎤 Presentation Readiness
All team members know their speaking order.
Eye contact practiced (look at audience rows).
Smiling and standing tall!

3. Panic Button / Stage Resilience

🚨 WHAT IF THE PROJECTOR TURNS BLACK ON STAGE?
Stay calm and keep smiling! True tech leaders never freeze.
If a cable comes loose or power flickers, Speaker 1 must keep speaking from memory: describe your project with passion. If needed, Speaker 2 keeps talking while the mentor checks the cable and power. Never touch cables or plugs yourself!
